Herschelle Gibbs was one among the few International players to be a part of inaugural Indian Premier League (IPL 2008). He was credited by Deccan Chargers where he played for two years.
In 2012 season of IPL, Mumbai Indian hired Gibbs for the next two seasons. In the same year, Bangladesh Premier League was established, and Gibbs became a part of Khulna Royals for the season.
