Shane Warne was born on September 13, 1969, in Victoria, Melbourne. The leg-breaks and flippers of Warne amalgamated with the quick, bouncy, and straight deliveries were sweet and deadly simultaneously for the opponents, it turned the way Warne wanted it to.

Shane Warne had a life full of controversies, he was caught in scandals, match-fixing, and breaking the code of conduct by the intake of unapproved drugs. Still, he continued with the game and named one of the greatest cricketers of the20th century in the year 2000.

International Career
Shane Warne played his first Test match at the SCG against India, it wasn’t an ideal start as Warne failed to impress anybody in the series. In 1993, Shane Warne was selected for Ashes squad and became the leading wicket taker for Australia in the series, it was the same series when he bowled the best ball ever witnessed in test cricket, the ball pitched on the right stumps of the batsman swung and clicked the leg stump. It was the first time he became famous, the rest is history.
In 1993, Shane Warne became the highest wicket taker in calendar years with 71 test wickets. In the next season, Warne featured in a home series against Australia, he took his first 10-wicket haul in the same series.
In Ashes 1994-95, Shane was again the best performer for Australia, his 8-wicket haul in the first test proved the worth and class he had possessed. At MCG, his home ground, Shane Warne took a hat-trick removing the tail of English batting lineup.
He had few injuries and comeback during the period 1995-1999, his class remained impeccable and his attitude as violent as his bowling spells.
In a home series against West Indies, Shane Warne got back his declining form with a 22-wicket spell in the series completing the year’s end with 33 wickets in two series. In a tour of India that was scheduled in 1998, Warne was the leading wicket taker for Australia in a losing cause.

After completing the ban in 2004, Warne was immediately selected for the test team that visited Sri Lanka in 2004. In the series against Sri Lanka, Shane Warne bowling figures reached 500+ becoming the second-highest ever in terms of test wickets.

Indian Premier League
Warne served as a captain and mentor for Rajasthan Royals in the inaugural season of Indian Premier League in 2008. Under Warne’s captaincy and thanks to his brilliant bowling spells, Rajasthan finished their and IPL’s first seasons as Champions.
In the latter seasons in 2009, 2010, and 2011, Shane Warne remained as a coach and captain of the team for four consecutive years.
