Sachin Tendulkar was born on 24thApril 1973 in Mumbai. He was raised in an environment where Cricket and Cinema were the most followed, he started playing cricket, made his own shots, as a natural talent, Sachin Tendulkar made it to the test team when he was just 16.
Sachin was handed a bat five years before he made his debut in international cricket by Ramakant Achrekar, his coach in School days. His brother Ajit had a pivotal role in introducing Sachin to international cricket; Sachin admitted that too in his autobiography.
An unusual situation occurred when Sachin came to nets to showcase if he is eligible for coaching, he was not doing well in the trial in front of Achrekar, his former coach, he asked his coach to observe him where he can’t see his coach.
When given another chance after his coach veiled behind a tree, Sachin played his natural game and impressed the coach to polish his skills. Sachin loved the game of cricket; he practiced for hours in nets before his coach asks him to leave.
Sachin Tendulkar participated in local and domestic level cricket clubs and tournaments, he joined Cricket Club of India in 1987, the same year, Sachin tried his luck in MRF pace foundation Chennai in fast bowling, he failed to impress Dennis Lillee, Dennis advised him to stay focused on his batting.

Domestic and First-class career
Sachin was selected for Ranji Trophy for his hometown Mumbai when he was 14 years old on 14th November 1987, he didn’t get a chance for the whole season. In the next season, he made his debut in Ranji Trophy against Gujarat and scored unbeaten 100-runs innings becoming the youngest debutant to score a ton in domestic cricket.
The century on his debut made him a hero, Dilip Vengsarkar trailed him against Indian bowlers and easily smacked them everywhere in the nets. Sachin got a chance to play two more tournaments in the coming season.

Sachin got a chance in the national side for his brilliant domestic and club performances in 1989 when he was just 16 years old. He faced some of the quickest bowlers of the era, Waqar Younis and magician spinners Abdul Qadir in test and ODI series.
He was struck on nose by a bouncer bowled by Waqar Younis in the tour; he continued to play and refused walking out retired hurt in that match. In an exhibition game that was a 20-20, he scored 27 runs in an over that too against Abdul Qadir, the best Pakistani spinner at the time.
His captain Srikanth termed it one of the best innings ever seen. Sachin Tendulkar also became the youngest debutant for India in Test and ODI cricket.
